The Emulator is an easy fix to a very common issue with Steering Column Lock. It works by replacing original ESL signal. When the steering lock malfunctions, and its stuck in lock position, it is required to physically remove it from the vehicle. The emulator will simulate the electronic signal of the steering lock, enabling the car to start.

The emulator includes both RED and GREEN LED Lights as indicators of correct functioning with lock sound.

What is ELV / ESL?

An ESL an electronic steering lock which is powered by a motor. At times, it malfunctions and this emulator provides a solution to this.

If you are facing any of the problems mentioned below then it means your ELV / ESL is malfunctioning:

  • - Car won’t start.

  • - Dashboard lights wont turn on

  • - Steering wheel can’t be unlocked

  • - Auto parts won't respond when the ignition is switched on

  • - Unable to turn the key in the ignition

  • - The steering remains locked with the key in the ignition 

  • - The ignition key turns, but no lights on the dash

  • - The steering Lock is OFF with no key in the ignition 

 

Installation:

  1. Gain access to your faulty ESL unit
  2. Disconnect the wire connector
  3. Plug connector into emulator and insert key into ignition
  4. Once confirmed working, secure emulator and replace any removed trim
